I happened upon this post from shelfy, a new social media platform that is centered around expression of self based on what you like — you get a limited amount of spaces to put literature, music, film, art, etc. that you feel like putting out there, which makes it curated and not oriented around an algorithm. In this way, it defies some of these tendencies you describe super well that I've been wrestling with for a while now (even on Substack!).
